Fototec™ Lenses with Variable Tint Technology (V.T.T.)

For 2006, Tifosi Optics® is introducing Fototec™ Lenses with V.T.T. These polycarbonate lenses are blended with microscopic photochromes that alter the tint of the lenses when exposed to UV rays. The result of this process is a family of lenses that adapt to the needs of the wearer regardless of outdoor lighting conditions.

Three tint options with V.T.T. available

High Speed Red™
High Speed Red was developed from input provided by our extensive auto racing and road cycling sponsorship. High Speed Red has V.T.T. range of 35% to 12% light transmission with a colour filter tailored for pavement use.

Backcountry Orange™
Backcountry Orange has a V.T.T. range of 45% to 15% to provide excellent contrast on the trail while morphing to a soothing brown when fully exposed to sunlight.

Light Night™
Light Night Lens offers the widest V.T.T. range of 85% to 19.5% light transmission. Light Night shifts from clear base tint to a smoke tint making it an ideal choice for the enthusiast seeking a highly versatile lens.
